Sharing this to us make us realize that there are still people that are willing to give themselves to give inspiration even to people that are strangers for them. Phil's life is really an inspiration to everybody. Nice story. I guess I saw last of Phil when I saw him walking with his cane to a different connecting flight terminal at Heathrow. I don't know, Phil told his story to pretty much everyone who he got to listen. After me, he tried to tell it to a young Indian girl, who was pissed that she couldn't get her frappuchino through security. "To tell her that it's all about respect", he said to me, telling that he got his orange juice just by being nice to the security guys... I wouldn't be surprised if someone else has the presence of mind to suggest a charity. Or, most likely, someone has already suggested that it at a different gate at a different time. Phil followed a thread throughout his life, the legacy of his father, and made people happy. Now, towards the end of his life, he wants to pass the legacy to someone new. You probably aren't in touch with him anymore, but I wish you'd have told him to set up a charity or something, just for the purpose of sending someone over. Because what really enabled him to go over to Kenya once a year was not just his belief-system and the airplane, it was in a large part that his father left him a lot of money to do it. That's the sad part of this story, that only part of his legacy is being passed on in this blogpost.
